About Avon

Avon is a quaint and picturesque New England town running alongside the Farmington River, 15 minutes outside of Hartford. Originally settled in 1645 as part of Farmington, it currently stands as one of the best places to live in Connecticut with excellent schools and an involved and family oriented community.

Within Hartford County, Avon, is governed by a Town Council/Town Manager form of local government.
